Global "Handhelds" leader finds Software Test Manager for its Educational & Productivity Division! "We searched for months without seeing a single resume worth our attention," the company's General Manager reports, "but somehow Redmond Research found seven qualified candidates for us to choose from!"
Mission-critical. Vital to the success of this division's new handheld devices in the marketplace. Responsible for training, mentoring, and overseeing 20-50 software testers while managing the entire test cycle from the initial project planning through test closure, to include developing test approaches and techniques, test tools and test facilities that meet the SQA release criteria.
To recruit under the close scrutiny of an anxious and divided executive team the right candidate for this Texas location from a highly competitive field of less than 15 target companies where most of the estimated 50 qualified candidates nationwide were happily employed in California and the Pacific Northwest and fell three to six years short of the 12-15 years experience this position requires.
Redmond Research presented seven qualified, pre-screened candidates. The client interviewed five by phone, then interviewed and hired one face-to-face. Thanks to Redmond's pre-closing practices, the candidate was receptive to negotiations and fully prepared for the move from California to Texas, despite numerous compelling offers from other major industry players. The client is happy to report that its new hire immediately improved the Division's profitability and performance.
