This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes our privacy practices as of the Last Revised Date above regarding the collection and use of personal information obtained via our www.redmondresearch.com website (the “Site”) as well as personal information gathered by Redmond in the course of our business of providing recruitment services (“Services”).

Data security and integrity

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain accuracy of data, and promote proper use of information, www.redmondresearch.com utilizes appropriate physical, electronic and managerial security procedures to safeguard all information collected online. In addition to requiring Candidates and Clients to sign in with unique usernames and passwords (used for user authentication only), all sections of the web site in which personal information is submitted or exchanged employ industry-standard SSL encryption and are authenticated by Thawte.

Redmond collects essentially four types of personal information from visitors who choose to provide it via this Site or other means.

1.     Information from Candidates interested in having us present their Resumes and Career profiles to Redmond clients for potential employment,including but not limited to name, address, telephone number, email address, resume information such as employment history, education, job qualifications, professional credentials, and skills, citizenship, information provided by former employers and other references. In the U.S., we may also collect personal information related to race and gender to support our commitment to diversity and Equal Opportunity Employment.

To identify positions of potential interest to Candidates, to present Candidates to prospective employers, to develop proposals for prospective Clients, to conduct reference checks and confidential searches, to keep in touch with Candidates and Clients, and to continuously improve our skills and tools as needed to deliver stellar Search services.

2.     Information from Employers who have world-class career opportunities for which they’d like to request Redmond’s help finding the best candidates,including but not limited to employing organization and department names, addresses, telephone, email, and fax information, position description, job requirements, anticipated compensation and benefits, and other information needed to support execution and delivery of Search services.

To understand our Clients’ individual and aggregate Talent and Search needs, to enable speedy response and efficient service, especially for Clients conducting numerous searches and ongoing pipeline development over many months or years, and to promote business continuity by maintaining appropriate historical records of our service to given Client organizations.

3.     Visitor traffic statistics essential to maintaining quality of our website and services,such as your (User) ID and password, as well as data that websites automatically log, such as the referring site, the IP address of the visitor’s computer, browser and operating system used, pages visited, and duration of the visit.

To assure Candidates and Clients reliable website access, and to perform statistical analyses of the characteristics and behaviors of our visitors as needed to obtain insights into the effectiveness and utility of our website services.

Redmond does not collect sensitive financial information such credit card or bank account numbers.

Sensitive information

We encourage you not to provide sensitive information to us. To the extent that you elect to include sensitive information via this Site or other communication vehicles, please know that we will retain that information.

Aggregate information

When Redmond aggregates personal information to establish industry, marketing and employment statistics, it first makes all personal information “anonymous” and non-identifying.

Disclosure to third parties other than Candidates, Clients, and References

Redmond does not and will not sell or disclose your personal information to any parties other than prospective Candidates, Clients, and authorized References, except in the following rare cases.

Service providers. Some third party service providers with whom we work will have access to personal information, but are bound by Confidentiality Agreements to use it only for “internal” purposes such as delivering, modifying, improving, refining, and validating the technical performance of our website and databases. These may include, but are not limited to website hosting and technology consulting providers, resume verification and background checking services, attorneys, accountants, and other administrative and back-up and security services.

Email marketing firms. From time to time, we may contract with a direct marketing firm to conduct a promotional mailing. In such cases, we will provide the firm a separate list of email addresses for all Candidates and Clients who have requested that we not contact them by email, so that the firm can exclude them from the mailing.

Legally defensible situations. Of course, as a business, we may also be called upon to disclose personal information in order to: (i) comply with applicable laws; (ii) respond to inquiries or requests from public or government authorities; (iii) comply with valid legal process; (iv) protect the rights, privacy, safety or property of Redmond, Site visitors or the public; (v) permit us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain; (vi) enforce our Terms of Use; or (vii) respond to an emergency.

Business alliances and transfers.Redmond reserves the right to disclose or transfer, any and all personal information that we collect in the course of our business delivering Search services, to third parties in connection with a strategic alliance with such third parties, or in the event of a sale of our company, a merger or consolidation involving Redmond, or a sale or transfer of assets or of any portion of our business.

“Cookies” and other data tracking technologies
